Preparing for your session
Many eat a small meal about 90-minutes before their float. It will help keep your stomach settled and free from rumbles during your float.
Avoid shaving or waxing on the day of your float. The generous quantity of Epsom salt will cause a stinging sensation on newly shaved or waxed skin.
Use the Vaseline supplied to cover small nicks and scratches. Don’t float if you have any larger open wounds.
Avoid caffeine for a few hours before your float so as to allow you to quieten the mind while floating.
Had a tattoo within the last 30 days? Don’t float!
Allow 4 days after any spray tan before floating.
Adhere to the time allocated to avoid delaying the next floater(S). This means exiting the float room and showering promptly. Your cooperation will be appreciated by us, and the next floater(s).

Hair & hair product management
We sell top quality swim caps for long hair. However, there is no guarantee your hair won’t get wet although the caps may restrict the quantity of dampening
Avoid floating if you have hair extensions. The high concentration of Epson salt may shorten the life of the extensions and even weaken the glue used.
If you use beeswax or any other wax-based or oil or grease based products, don’t float. If you do, your hair may clump due to the action of the Epsom salt.
Hair dyed recently? Used either permanent or semi-permanent dye? You need to have washed your hair 4 or 5 times since the colour was applied before you float.
Why? So that zero colour comes out and colours the water or stains our white towels.
Use only our shampoo and conditioner to avoid a big cleaning job when some shampoos are used.

If, after your float, we find that our water has been contaminated by any of these products in your hair, we must drain the tub, replace the filters, clean everything, then refill the tub and replace the 450 kg (or 600 kg in a double) of Epsom salt we just had to dump unnecessarily.
This costs us roughly $1,250 and we will be forced to pass that cost along to you!
